RYA Yachtmaster exam, you can arrange to take your exam on Paget's Lady if you like. Paget's Lady is available for skippered charter, by the day or week. We cruise the Irish sea, the Clyde and as far north as the Isle of Mull, and south to the Channel Islands. The Skipper has his RYA Yachtmaster certificate with commercial endorsement, having completed all the course work to get there, I have a good Idea what is required of you to do the same. I do not intend sailing with more than four clients on board, so five of us should be very comfortable on board an eight berth boat. I have been sailing Paget's Lady my Westerly Corsair for the past ten years, mostly single handed, have done 30,0000 sea miles in her, we have been to the Mediterranean, East to Dover and Le Havre, west to the Scillies, Dublin, Belfast and north to Skye. We frequently sail to the Isle of Man, another wonderful sailing area, just a 60nm passage away. My most traveled excursion is Fleetwood, Douglas, Whitehaven and back to Fleetwood weather permitting, this is a great passage training trip with three days sailing and two nights on board. Loads of tides to contend with and great scenery as we sail up or down the Cumbrian coast.
Paget's Lady is 36ft long is sloop rigged, has in mast reefing and a furling headsail, all lines are led aft to the very spacious centre cockpit, she is fitted out with full electronic instrumentation, radar, plotter, GPS, and loads of charts for you to practice your traditional navigation as well as learning all about the latest developments.
Paget's Lady is MCA coded to code 2, which gives her a cruising range of 60 nm from a safe haven, she has all the required safety equipment, so all you need to bring is yourself, water proofs, sailing boots, soft sole shoes preferable ones that don't leave black marks everywhere, deckshoes are best but trainers or plimsoles are ok, warm layers, pillow case and sleeping bag, wash bag with your personal hygiene equipment, we have to live together and there is nothing worse then a smelly boat. Please be aware that Paget's Lady is a no smoking area.
We have the facilities to charge mobile phones, cameras, razors etc from a 240volt inverter, also a cigar lighter plug if you have a car phone charger.
